# MAPA at the cuco of La Felipa

The Murcia duo MAPA brought their contemporary folk to the cuco of La Felipa on an October evening, with the «Música en el Cuco» neon lit as the sun went down.

In brief

Música en el Cuco is a series of free acoustic concerts organised by the Tierra y Tradición cultural association at sunset beside the cucos —traditional dry-stone shelters— of La Felipa and other towns around Chinchilla de Montearagón (Albacete, Spain). It began with two pilot concerts in 2025 and expands to five towns in 2026.

Elena Miquel and Antonio Luis Gómez, MAPA, played beside the cuco of La Felipa as the sun set over the plain: guitar, frame drum and two voices, with the audience seated at the foot of the stone.

The «Música en el Cuco» neon came on with the first shadows, and a table with their song lyrics waited for anyone who wanted to take them home.
