In brief

Tierra y Tradición runs traditional craft workshops in La Felipa (Albacete, Spain), starting with esparto weaving, so artisan techniques and popular knowledge pass from those who keep them to new generations.

## Esparto

From hillside to hand: the fibre is gathered, boiled, dried and pounded before weaving. It was used for plaits, ropes, panniers, soles and Manchego cheese moulds.

## Learning by doing

Workshops are open to all ages. Those who know teach; those who are starting, ask.
